How are Recreational coaches selected?
All Coconut Creek Soccer coaches are volunteers who are willing to devote their time to assist in developing the young soccer player. Recreational Program coaches are selected from the volunteers that step forward or are chosen by request if the league does not receive enough volunteers.
How do I learn more about coaching and if I am capable of coaching or assisting?
Generally speaking any parent can coach or assist Recreational soccer. It does not require experience or you having played yourself. If you can have FUN with children you can be a coach (head or assistant).
All REC coaches are provided with the necessary equipment and handbooks that describe the rules of the game, good coaching techniques, and strategies for effective practices.
Recreational Coordinators Needed!
Each summer Coconut Creek Soccer recruits new Division Coordinators for the upcoming Fall and Spring season (during school year).
Often the coordinators "move up the ladder” from L’il Stingers to Junior Hornets to Lady or Gentlemen Hornets if their children continue to play. There are at least 6 positions to fill.
If you would like to be involved or be considered for coordinator please contact the Coconut Creek Soccer via e-mail and/or attend a monthly meeting to introduce yourself & become involved. See below for next meeting or check out our calendar page for future meetings.
